During the SAS^® Download Manager or SAS^® Deployment Wizard depot creation process, the option Remove duplicate files and save space is selected by default. The SAS Download Manager screen looks like this:

With this option selected, if duplicate files are found, an additional \VJR\ folder is created in the \SAS Software Depot\ folder. This is called an optimized depot.

If you run SASDepotCheck.exe from the folder \SAS Software Depot\utilities\depotchecker\, it does not check for the \VJR\ folder and files. If the \VJR\ folder or files are missing, the SASDepotCheck process can incorrectly report a complete depot.

Workaround

Open a command prompt window, navigate to \SAS Software Depot\, and run this command:

When complete, review the checkdepotcompression_date-time.log for errors. The log is located in the C:\users\user-id\AppData\Local\SAS\SASDeploymentWizard\ folder. If any errors are found, use the SAS Download Manager to download the SAS Software Depot again. Do not modify or delete any files or folders in the SAS Software Depot folder.
